CAST BULLET ENGINEERING is an Australian Bullet Mould manufacturing business which has been in continuous operation since 1985. We make bullet moulds designs selected from our catalogue to order. We only carry very limited shelf stock but this gives us the flexibility to supply what the bullet caster wants.
The business is owned by Jim Allison who has been a keen shooter all
his life. Jim's interest in bullet moulding came about in 1975 when he bought a .310 Martini Cadet for $5.00 with a packet of cartridges.
Once these 50 rounds were used Jim was unable to locate suitable heeled bullets for this cartridge and looked at using his machining skills to make a mould.
Initiially moulds were lathe bored but it was found that cherry cut moulds provided the repeatability required on popular designs.
Other shooters began to ask Jim to make moulds for them and this was the start of years of experimenting and developing moulds that are now used worldwide in a huge variety of calibers , weights , profiles and mould designs.
